Consultation Types

Prenatal Consult

Prenatal consults help you to prepare for your baby's arrival. This is a great choice if you are unable to attend a breastfeeding group class, have special circumstances such as expecting multiples, or are a first time (breastfeeding) parent. We will talk about relevant medical history, your breastfeeding goals, what to expect, how to prepare, and your birth plan.

Duration: 1.5 - 2 hours

Cost: $150 or FREE if covered

Initial Consult

An initial consult usually occurs within a week of baby's arrival to help mom and baby get breastfeeding off to a great start. Initial consults will involve discussion of relevant medical history, your breastfeeding goals, your birth experience, a breast exam, infant oral exam, observation of breastfeeding, and assistance with positioning and latch

Duration: 1.5 - 2 hours

Cost: $150 or FREE if covered

Follow-up Visit

Any consultation after the initial consult is considered a follow-up and will focus on continued support for improved breastfeeding. Established clients can also book a follow up appointment for crisis management when experiencing issues such as plugged ducts, mastitis, nursing strikes, or improving milk supply.

Duration: 1 - 1.5 hours

Cost: $100 or FREE if covered

Flange Fitting

You’ve got the pump and we’ve got flanges and inserts in all sizes. We’ll get you feeling comfortable to optimize your breast pump. Includes flanges.

Duration: 30-45 mins

Cost: $75

Fees and Policies

  • Full payment is due at the time of service for self pay or insured clients that are not approved with TLN (The Lactation Network). Cash, check, and major credit cards (including HSA/FSA account cards) accepted.

    I will provide a superbill to submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement of the cost of the visit. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your insurance and plan. Calling your insurance company to ask their policies and to submit for pre-approval may be helpful.

    Please don’t let financial difficulties defer you from seeking help. A limited number of discounted visits are available for qualified families.

  • The Lactation Network (TLN) is an organization I have partnered with that is able to bill certain insurance companies directly. This means that once approved by TLN, you can schedule your home or office visits with me at no cost to you. You are guaranteed 6 visits at no cost if approved through TLN!

    Insurers include BCBS PPO, Cigna PPO, Anthem PPO, and Provider Network of America (PNOA). I encourage everyone to request confirmation of coverage through TLN, as most but not all plans participate. Please click here to see if you are covered.

    If you are not approved by TLN you may book a self pay visit and a superbill will be provided for you to seek reimbursement from your insurer.

  • There is a 24hr cancellation policy. Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled within 24hrs of the booked appointment or you will be charged a $50 cancellation fee. A credit card is required to be on file at booking.
