About Us

As a nurse for over 18 years with 16 of those specializing in women’s health, I know how important it is to make sure parents have the support they need during pregnancy and postpartum. After having my own breastfeeding struggles, I realized the need for more breastfeeding support for new parents.  I made the decision to pursue additional education, becoming a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) in 2016 and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2021. In addition to being a full-time nurse and IBCLC, I am also a member of the local breastfeeding policy group, the Capital Area Breastfeeding Coalition, and serve as a board member of the Capital Area Healthy Start Coalition. With the opening of Nurture Love Grow, I plan to bring local support groups, breastfeeding education, and one-on-one personalized care to the families of my community and surrounding areas.
